Delivery & returns
What to expect when we send an order, how hire returns work and what to do if you change your mind.
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Where we deliver
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom to the locations offered at checkout or confirmed in your quote. Any restrictions, delivery charge and available options will be shown before you place an order.
2. Delivery times
The product page, checkout or booking confirmation will show an estimated dispatch or delivery window. Unless we agree otherwise, purchased goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days. Event hire may follow a delivery schedule tied to the agreed event date.
Check the parcel promptly and tell us about visible damage, missing items or a delivery problem at hello@thewedshop.co.uk. A carrier delay does not remove your legal rights.
3. Returning purchased goods
For most goods bought online, you can tell us you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive them, without giving a reason. You then normally have a further 14 days to send them back. Email us before returning anything so we can provide the correct address and instructions.
Unless the item is faulty, misdescribed or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the return cost. You may inspect an item as you would in a shop, but we may make a lawful deduction if handling beyond that reduces its value. Keep proof of postage.
4. Return exceptions
The change-of-mind right may not apply to personalised or made-to-order goods, sealed hygiene-sensitive goods once unsealed, perishable products, or digital content supplied immediately after your express agreement and acknowledgement. We will identify any relevant exception before purchase. This never removes your rights where something is faulty or not as described.
5. Hire returns
Hired products are not change-of-mind returns: they remain our property and must be sent back using the method and deadline in your booking confirmation. Use the supplied packaging where provided and follow the carrier instructions. Contact us immediately if equipment is lost, damaged, faulty or likely to be returned late.
6. Cancelling a booking or service
Email us as soon as possible. Some event or leisure services reserved for a specific date or period are excluded from the statutory 14-day cooling-off right. The cancellation terms shown before booking will apply, but any amount retained or charged will be fair and reflect losses we cannot reasonably avoid. If we cancel or cannot provide the agreed service, we will offer the remedy required by law.
7. Faulty goods or services
You have statutory rights when goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, and when services are not performed with reasonable care and skill. Contact us with your order number and, where useful, photos or a description of the issue. We will not require you to pay the return cost for a valid faulty-goods claim.
8. Refunds
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method. For a valid online cancellation of purchased goods, we will refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving evidence that you sent them, whichever is earlier. We will include the basic outbound delivery charge where the law requires it, but not the extra cost of a premium delivery choice.
9. How to contact us
Email hello@thewedshop.co.ukwith your name, order or booking number, the items affected and what you would like us to do. We will respond with the appropriate next steps.
